Technical Innovations in Video Production
ALL DIGITAL WORKFLOW
Shooting in the RAW format on the 4K Blackmagic Cinema Camera, we are able to achieve Ultra HD resolution (3840x2160) for an amazing quality cinematic image at a fraction of the cost of traditional film. Combine this with our digital editing and DI color process and you have an image that looks just like 35mm film for 1/10 the cost.
Digital intermediate, or DI for short, is the process of color correcting and processing shots to achieve a look for a film. This was originally done with prisms and had its limitations. DI is a completely revolutionary technique and called one of the top film innovations of the 21 century by CineFX, winning Roger Deakins the Academy Award in 2001 for best cinematography.
“Special effects are characters. Special effects are essential elements. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they aren’t there” –Laurwence Fishburne
Previsualization is the process of visualizing complex scenes for film, TV shows or advertisements. Just how important is Previsualization (previs) in modern cinema?
